After a year long dispute, attempts by myself to make it right the woodshop made good on the credit. However it was discovered and they wouldn't admit it that the reason so many boards warped and brought XXX to a halt is do to the fact they are cheap fucking bitches and only spray sanding sealer on there wood, not varnish, marine varnish or polyurethane but a cheap $8 a gallon acetate based sealer that looks shinny but has no weather proofing abilities and just makes the wood one big sponge.

They wouldn't ever admit this, I discovered it and had long before my suspicions. Sanding sealers come up gray when sanded, clears such as varnish, polyurethane come up tanish white due to the color additives and how it bonds to wood.

14 months of there lies, there bullshit and nearly being ruined and being at the mercy of such a shitty business.

Quality, excellence and no one obviously doesn't believe in it anymore.

Absolutly no refunds

XXX isn't in a position to refund. Yes there can be waits, exuberant waits for product however as each board is custom, nothing comes off the rack and due the amounts of time put in there is no refund for any sale due to the high cost of wood, materials there is no refunds, only exchanges if the product is defective.

Been very Ill

For the past 11 days I have been ill, first with just sniffles then a resulting stomach situation that ended up being a hole in my intestine after a bought of what appeared to be food poisoning.

The situation on the wood is fixed, I am getting my replacement of wood this coming week to finish all acid spiders, outstanding boards which warped.

The list is as follows.

- 8 acid spiders warped.

- 2 Fusil decks.

- 1 Red Detached Eye.

- 1 Green Detached Eye.

- 1 Scatter truck board.

- 1 Crow board

- I pinup red board.

In this case I have to do all these boards again and am doing so.

Sick

I'm in the midst of an middle ear infection and have a 103 fever. Though not life threatening I'll be fine. Nothing can ship till I feel better. The cause is being submerged in the smoke from the recent forest fires. As well had to clean my shop, don't do too well with agitated dust. The fire laid down on some equipment a film of white ash. However when the ash is wiped up it comes up brown like cigarette tar smoke.

As well unrelated possibly, my small air compressor; Iwata Powerjet Lite failed. Appears to be the compressor plate had rusted from excessive moisture. To replace it is $300. The compressor served me well, did some 300+ boards. I loved that compressor.

I am replacing it with essentially the same thing but with a 1 liter reserve tank. This should cause less wear on the automatic cut off valve and plate that went bad in the previous machine.

And yes I am behind.

There is issues not of my making but I am guilty of dealing with these guys. My woodshop has stuck it to me over and over. I only deal with them since they have no order minimums. However for a year they been selling me second quality uncut blanks, and some of these blanks are maybe 2 years old. A lot of blanks I cut go bad in a few hours. Some are pressed off center of the mold. The defects become obvious only after cutting. They charge me $24 a blank.

Over and over again I bring back boards and they give me replacements. They shuck and jive me, bullshit me, treat the situation as less them professional with three "bro" shit. This bleeds over into my commitments.

I am looking at two new woodshops.

My country for a quality piece of wood. I'd pay $30 for an uncut blank if someone could back there quality.

Updates

All orders are at a halt until the smoke from recent fires abates. I am working in a limited capacity do to soot and contamination in paint and not wanting to fight 110 degree weather. Please understand that many boards where ruined 60 days ago due to my inability to deal directly with my woodshop. A batch of boards where infact 12-18 months old and sold to me as new. Split veneers, some warping and all together low quality seconds that where passed to be as first quality and at a premium.

My business, your boards depends on quality made wood. I am no longer using this shop and have changed wood sources. I was bitten once before and it took 8 months to sort out the problem. It has come to the point that I will pay 30% more for a blank to assure quality. After doing this(skateboards) for 27 years quality boards, either to ride or hang is what you pay for. Nothing less will suffice.

Out of print boards range from $450-$1,000 depending while supplies last. Test print boards, 1-offs, and prototypes are considered rare items.

All airbrushed boards such as the Fumes II, III are $350.

Shipping update

Various updates:

All orders are 5-8 weeks for delivery and actual shipping costs on orders over $150 dollars in some cases will be invoiced after shipping to give actual shipping costs. All prints ship 3-4 days from order due to construction of mailer flats. So as not to be deceptive I am being honest, quality takes time and I often enough make a shipping time and it will elapse due to the amount of time that is put into a board.

-Included shipping, last year I accumulated $633 in lost shipping by customers not sending the correct amount for shipping or not paying shipping altogether or my errors. There never has been shipping included, never has been and please don't ask and or send the subtotal on your invoice. I cannot pay out of pocket hundreds of dollars to cover this. Please don't ask for a shipping deal. The shipping has to be paid, I don't ship boxes from my work and I have a weekly UPS bill to pay. I reserve the right to refuse all payments that don't include shipping.

-Paypal fees all transactions using paypal all fees apply and are to be paid by the customer.

-Custom orders. As to elevate customer waits and frustrations there will be no more custom ordering. Thank you for the opportunity and I enjoyed making that board for you. Thank you for being patient.

-Split shipping, all multiple item orders are split shipped. Prints ship separately from boards, and 2 or more boards go via two boxes. I use 90% of the time new virgin skateboard boxes.

-Handling, I don't charge extra for virgin skateboard boxes, for excessive bubble wrap and or transpiration fees. The items I use to assure your board gets to you and undamaged comes out of my pocket to assure your board gets to you pristine.

-Clients that love XXX, understand it's one man vs. the elements and realize that nothing I make is off the shelf, that boards, prints and even shirts are made with exact care and there materials are exuberant will always get a cool deal.
